SHOW NOTES

  • EO Fire by John Lee Dumas – EntrepreneurOnFire is an award winning Podcast where John Lee Dumas chats with today’s most inspiring Entrepreneurs 7-days a week

  • Once Bitten – Jim Carrey plays a hot-blooded teen who becomes the reluctant donor to a sultry and extremely thirsty nocturnal nymph (Lauren Hutton) in this funny’sexy (Boxoffice) send-up of the horror genre! Mark (Carrey) has just one thing on his mind: going all the way. But while his girlfriend keeps telling him he has to wait, he meets a beautiful vampire countess (Hutton) who’s ready for action! Mark’s just happy to get past second base but after a one-night stand with the sexy seductress, Mark starts behaving more than a little batty and realizes he must find a way to break his lover’s fiendish spell…or be prepared to work the graveyard shift forever!

  • What We Do In the Shadows – chronicles the adventures of four vampire roommates trying to get by in a modern world that’s not always hospitable to the undead. Clement and Waititi, creators of the HBO hit series “Flight of the Conchords,” co-wrote, co-directed, and co-star in this hilarious send-up in which an endearingly unhip quartet of friends reveal to us or, rather, to the documentary crew that’s filming them, the details of their daily-make that nightly-routine. Ranging in age from 183 to 8,000, and in appearance from adorably youthful to Nosferatu-crusty, they squabble over household chores, struggle to keep up with the latest trends in technology and fashion, antagonize the local werewolves, cruise clubs for lovely ladies, and deal with the rigors of living on a very, very strict diet.

— What I’m currently reading – Extreme Ownership by retired Navy Seal Jocko Wilink. – A great book about leadership and people management. This is insightful for running a film set and how much responsibility (aka ownership) .

— What I’m currently watching – Mutilator (Cooper, 1984)

George A Romero – is an American-Canadian filmmaker and editor, best known for his series of gruesome and satirical horror films about an imagined zombie apocalypse, beginning with Night of the Living Dead and notably continuing on with Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. His other works contributed include The Crazies, Creepshow, Martin, Monkey ShinesThe Dark Half, and the upcoming Road of the Dead.

Road of the Dead – originated as an original pitch from Matt Birman roughly 10 years ago. The story is set on an island where zombie prisoners race cars in a modern-day Coliseum for the entertainment of wealthy humans. Birman describes the project as “Road Warrior” meets “Rollerball” at a Nascar race, with significant inspiration from “Ben-Hur.”
